Proven Scaling
Proven Scaling LLC was founded by Jeremy Cole and Eric Bergen in May of 2006 to address a need in the MySQL market for expertise in scalability and high availability. Proven Scaling primarily works with startups and established companies in the San Francisco Bay Area, but has many customers worldwide. We are a leader in development of highly scalable and highly available solutions for data-driven websites and applications, including the HiveDB project and many tools.
HiveDB
HiveDB is a complete solution for implementing directory-based partitioning for MySQL in Java. It was originally conceived by and designed by Jeremy Cole. Initial development was done by Fortress Consulting, and it has been developed much further by CafePress. Jeremy frequently speaks about scalability and partitioning, and HiveDB is a common topic within those talks.
DorsalSource
DorsalSource was founded in April of 2007 by Jeremy Cole of Proven Scaling along with Dhiren Patel and Jonathan Cheyer of Solid Information Technology. DorsalSource aims to change the way that the MySQL development community operates by introducing a web-based development, build, test, and distribution model which is entirely driven by the contributing community.
